May is Law Enforcement Appreciation Month


Throughout the whole month of May is Law Enforcement Appreciation Month to commend all law enforcement officers who place their lives on the line everyday to protect and serve their community. Take time this month and Thank an officer for their dedication in keeping our community safe throughout the dangers they face.

Throughout May, several national events are planned, including Police Week (May 11-May17), which remembers all those officers that lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others. Hasbrouck Heights Patrolman Gerald Delamater is one officer who will be remembered during this week, as he lost his life in the line of duty, transporting vital health supplies for the children in our community. 286 Law Enforcements Officers around the nation gave the ultimate sacrifice for their communities.
