May 18 is Safe Kids Day
When a child dies or is seriously injured, the lives of families and entire communities are changed forever. In the United States, injuries are the #1 killer of kids. Millions more are injured in ways that can affect them for a lifetime.
But while the statistics are hard, the solutions are easy. That’s what Safe Kids Day is all about.
On May 18, 2013, the HHPD will be celebrating Safe Kids Day to raise awareness and funds to protect kids from serious injuries.
Proceeds from Safe Kids Day support Safe Kids Worldwide, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing childhood injury. Safe Kids works with an extensive network of 600 coalitions across the United States and with partners in 23 countries around the world to reduce traffic injuries, drownings, falls, burns, poisonings and more.
Help the HHPD support Safe Kids Worldwide by making a donation. The process is fast, easy, and secure. We appreciate any support you can provide. It will benefit a great cause!
Let’s work together to do the little things that allow kids to grow up to do big things.
Thanks so much for helping to keep kids safe!
