The Hasbrouck Heights Police Department has partnered with The Bagel Shop (230 Boulevard) to brew up Coffee with a Cop community event on Tuesday, June 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. where residents can connect with law enforcement officers over a FREE cup of Coffee.  Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the HHPD. Since, the majority of contacts that officers make are during emergency situations, there can often be negative associations. Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction. Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by The U.S. Department of Justice. More than 175 cities in 36 states have participated in similar events for the last two years. This is the second time the HHPD has hosted a Coffee with a Cop event. The town Boulevard Stroll will also be ongoing, so it’s a great way to meet all the Boulevard shop owners.

All residents are encouraged to attend. Coffee will be provided free of charge. Media is also invited to attend.
